Why Illume Box feels 3D
and not just “a nice screen”
A regular display sends similar light in many directions. Illume Box controls where each light ray goes, so your eyes receive angle-specific views that simulate a real object floating in space.
2. Fresnel-Collimator Stage
Those rays are straightened into near-parallel paths.
Parallel rays are much easier to shape accurately in later optical layers.
3. RGB Filter + Halftone Layer
Color and brightness data are assigned ray-by-ray.
At this point, the light already contains the visual payload of the scene.
4. Bilayer Ortho Lens Grating
A specialized lenticular structure bends rays to specific angles for each viewpoint.
Different viewing positions receive different views, creating binocular depth without glasses.
